Imagine if Tea Partiers were black, or Arab-American, and showed up in the hundreds or thousands, angry and well-armed, talking revolution.

     Until these two things happen, our Country will never be the power it once was. The people will continue to suffer, and the facsist’s will remain in power.  These principles are what a “people’s uprising” must be about.

A company you’ve probably never heard of. Talx. Talx sole existance in the world is to fight unemployment cases. According to the attached article, their client list reads like the Fortune 500. And you thought Acorn was a problem!

     With the recent recess appointments to the Labor Board, President Obama is finally backing the people, (his base) that elected him. Of course the tone of the article is how the world is going to end, but any union person should be glad that the government is finally looking to support labor. The only real way for our economy to recover is to provide quality jobs to Americans. The only quality jobs that exist in this country anymore are the good Union jobs. 
     When you hear someone whine about being out of work, ask them if they support the Unions.

     The quote below is from an MSNBC article about the spending habits of the Republican Party. Of course both parties are guilty of going after “big corporate money”. It shows the Republicans are desperate to keep us in a Corporatist society. We desperately need election reform. Will it ever happen? Not until the revolution.
    “Under Steele’s leadership, the RNC is pressing for more freedom in how it raises money; it is challenging a 2002 law banning it and the Democratic Party from collecting big contributions from corporations and others known as soft money. Pat Buchanan had a column March 12 on manufacturing, The Disemboweling of America, that hits the nail on the head. In fact, if I fairly excerpt enough of the column and send you over to read it, my work here is done. For today.

Buchanan begins by outlining just how much our country has lost by allowing others, particularly China, to take over manufacturing.

Though Bush 41 and Bush 43 often disagreed, one issue did unite them both with Bill Clinton: protectionism.

Globalists all, they rejected any federal measure to protect America’s industrial base, economic independence or the wages of U.S. workers.

. . . From 2000 to 2009, industrial production declined here for the first time since the 1930s. Gross domestic product also fell, and we actually lost jobs.

In traded goods alone, we ran up $6.2 trillion in deficits — $3.8 trillion of that in manufactured goods.

And what are the implication of this loss of manufacturing?

. . . for every dollar we send abroad for oil or gas, we send $4.20 abroad for manufactured goods. Why is a dependency on the Persian Gulf for a fraction of the oil we consume more of a danger than a huge growing dependency on China for the necessities of our national life?

… How many know that every modern nation that rose to world power did so by sheltering and nurturing its manufacturing and industrial base…

. . . No nation rose to world power on free trade. …

Nations rise on economic nationalism; they descend on free trade.

Buchanan wrote an excellent, important column and I encourage readers to click through and read the whole thing.

So, this “free trade” stuff has worked out for us about as well as the “free market” stuff worked out for the economy. Free market and deregulation ideology destroyed the economy. Free trade has destroyed our ability to earn money and recover from the destruction of the economy.

It is time to formulate a national industrial policy/economic strategy, impose tariffs as necessary to balance trade – especially in the case of Chinese currency manipulation – and set up taxes and penalties to stop companies from moving any more manufacturing out of the country.

      Here it is. The start of the 2010 Political Season. Many states are holding primaries in the months ahead. Usually primaries are just a side note to the political process, but this year will be a year of turnovers, with so many people, so disgruntled with the incumbents, the primaries will be very telling.
     Ironically having the President’s support has become a negative as much as a help. No one seems all that concerned about getting his recommendation after the fiasco in Massachusetts.     
     On the same note is the Republican fear of the Tea Party. While the Repub candidates want the Tea Party support, they fear they will lose the mainstream Republican, and Right Leaning Independent because of the radical appearance of the Tea Party agenda. 
          Where does that leave all of us in the middle? 
     If you are a conscientious voter, that pays attention to the candidates, and educates yourself on the history of the candidate, you should be able to make an educated choice based on the information you have. If you listen to Faux News or depend on some talk show mouth to make your decision for you, you got trouble. 
     So many of the media outlets, and talking heads, are so agenda driven, the facts they put out will be bent, and twisted, worse than a pretzel, to make the case for their boyscout or girlscout. People are becoming totally desensitized by the constant moral, and ethical smashing these people bring to the airwaves. Of course we know how “moral” these people are, yet we let them convince us of our need to follow them.
     Our country is at a crossroads. Our election process is being given to the large corporations. The average Joe has no chance of ever having a voice in this country again. Freedom of speech will be freedom of speech as long as you agree with the Corporate powers that be. Otherwise you can be taken out, both financially, and literally, with ease.
     I intend to look at the candidates where the money is not. Who are the people “not” taking the PAC money. Who are the people talking directly to the people, not schmoozing the Corporations. Who are the people that care about the people of our country first, not the Corporations with all the contribution money. Listen for words like “small business”, “people’s health and welfare”, “the future of the people”, “jobs”. That is where you can at least begin to find the candidates that will work for you. Of course we know that many “politicians” have a propensity to stretch the truth, or even lie outright to attain the office.
     Good luck in making your decisions, but stay involved. It is the time for involvement, not apathy. Apathy has us where we are today.
                                   Involvement will buy us a better tomorrow!
